— The Real Exs
The Real Ex's of Portland is a community that was formed by a group of women who discovered a shared experience of dating the same man. From their collective journey of healing and growth, they birthed a podcast and a small business.
Beyond just sharing their personal stories, the Real Ex's believe that everyone has been an "ex" at some point in their lives, whether it be as a former spouse, partner, employee, family member, or friend. They seek to redefine the often-negative connotations associated with being an ex, focusing instead on the positive aspects of moving on, setting boundaries, and finding strength in letting go of toxic relationships.
Their vision is to create a wave of empowerment and support for women by sharing stories of heartache and healing, fostering a sense of community and sisterhood where women can uplift and serve one another. Through regular social events, networking opportunities, and a platform for members to connect and support each other, the Real Ex's aim to empower women from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential.

Upcoming Events
August Volunteer Event - Social Club PDX
Come to our first volunteer event that will support local families whose children have cancer and are going through treatments. This farm experience not only supports the kids who have cancer but their families as well.
Embrace Compassion is a 501(c)(3) charitable organiztion recognized since 2011, thriving through community support and volunteer efforts. Their farm experience program serves children in cancer treatment and their families on 2.5 acres in Sherwood, where they grow food, offer gardening education, art projects, and create a safe community for children with low counts from chemotherapy. They have cultivated a vibrant farm featuring 500+ dahlias, grapevines, blueberry shrubs, veggie garden boxes, and various animals, including goals and chilckens. They host 80-100 people for their Farm Experience Saturdays, helping families affected by cancer find respite and connection.
There is a participation fee of $15, which will be collectively donated to the Embrace Compassion on that Sunday. Each adult volunteer will have the chance to create and take home a quart-sized jar filled with 10-15 beautiful dahlias.
